This blog is established during what could be considered a second or even third oil crisis.
Like the oil crisis in the 1970ies this is resulting in (or maybe is even borne by) a wider economical crisis.
The blog is making an effort of not to be a left-advocating rant, but still the blogger allows himself to criticize the consumption society and what will be referred to as the imperative of consumption.
That may seem controversial, but given the of global warming and economical crisis it seems obvious that discarding the idea of ever growth and agitation for other values is not that insane, no matter what politicians and economists say.
The blog does not aim to change the world - it is, after all, just words. But a goal is to make people think and revise their view on consumption and maybe start asking questions or maybe even think for themselves.
